CIA RANKS US HIGH IN INEQUALTIY

The CIA reports that US is fourth in inequality among the 36 developed nations that make up the OECD. US Gini coefficient is 41.1, behind Columbia 50.4, Chile 44.4, Turkey 41.9. Canada is at 33.3, Germany 31.9, Japan 32.9, Norway 27 (a higher coefficient shows greater inequality). High inequality is not essential for productivity. US GDP per capita is $62,520.
